Rubber-type chlorinated polyethylene realizes green manufacturing
According to the National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Network, the key technology development and application project of high-performance rubber-type chlorinated polyethylene green manufacturing undertaken by Weifang Yaxing Group has recently passed the expert acceptance, achieving a breakthrough in the application of chlorinated polyethylene rubber (CM) in high-end products.
Weifang Yaxing has successfully developed the key technology of green preparation of chlorinated polyethylene by hydrochloric acid phase method, and designed a 60m3 enamel reactor and supporting large-scale equipment, forming a complete set of 60,000 tons/year chlorinated polyethylene full-process software package with independent intellectual property rights, achieving energy saving and consumption reduction and zero discharge of acidic wastewater, and successfully developed 8 new high-performance CM grades and 11 CM compound rubbers for hoses, wires and cables.
It is reported that the total annual output of chlorinated polyethylene in my country has reached 450,000 tons, but the chlorinated polyethylene used in rubber is less than 70,000 tons, accounting for only 16%, while the annual demand for chlorinated polyethylene in the United States is about 40,000 tons, 50% of which is used in the rubber field.
