China Chemical News Network News: The CPE (Chlorinated Polyethylene) Professional Committee of the China Chlor-Alkali Industry Association recently held the second session of the third standing committee in Weihai City, Shandong Province, to discuss the development trends, constraints and other hot issues in the CPE industry, and put forward development countermeasures.

Delegates at the meeting proposed that in the context of the current slow recovery of the global economy, CPE companies should strengthen information communication, and hope that the CPE Special Committee will continue to play an important role in maintaining product price stability and standard formulation, and promote the healthy and rapid development of the industry. At the same time, all relevant companies should strengthen industry self-discipline, launch national standards for CPE products as soon as possible, and regulate the CPE product market. The representatives also suggested that CPE companies should increase cooperation and communication with large and medium-sized domestic polyolefin production companies, increase the supply channels for polyolefin-specific raw materials, and reduce dependence on imported raw materials.

In addition, in response to the problem of large and difficult-to-treat wastewater discharge in CPE production, the representatives called for accelerating the research and development of plasma CPE clean production technology, and strive to improve the production technology level of CPE in my country to meet the country's increasingly stringent environmental protection and safety requirements.
